Trial Databases
Cannell Librarians are always testing new databases, and you can too. The Trial Databases page lists database titles that are currently available for testing, usually for two weeks to a month. We can’t buy every database we test, but testing the databases helps keep us on track with getting resources that are most useful to Clark students.
Trial databases change all the time, so we’ve made it easier for you to follow the changes by setting up an RSS feed on the Trial Databases Page. If you see a database that you think would be a useful resource, just send an email to one of the librarians.
I believe the decision has been made to get Opposing Viewpoints electronically– good news.
Though I sometimes wish there were less emphasis on oppositional discourse and the “both sides” approach to research and analysis (as though just two viewpoints are possible), I was impressed with the usefulness of the “Opposing Viewpoints” database. Thanks for the chance to try it out.
