Renovations Completed!
The column wraps pictured above represent the culmination of nearly five years of hard work and a generous $300,000 grant from the Technology Fee Committee. Awarded in May 2014, the grant was used to overhaul Cannell’s data infrastructure. The renovations included new wiring and the installation of new instruction technologies throughout the building. Additionally, the library gained funding from the Clark College Foundation, the Office of Instruction, and its own Equipment budget to update the layout and furniture in the Commons as well as the computer labs on both floors. As a result, Cannell has increased access to the technologies that help students succeed at Clark. It is easier than ever to collaborate in the Commons, to complete assignments in comfy chairs, and to even rearrange the tables around the colorfully-wrapped columns!
All of us in the library consider serving students our most important mission, and these upgrades have greatly enhanced that endeavor. We thank the many people throughout the Clark community who offered their resources to these much-needed improvements. We especially appreciate the contribution of student funds, and look forward to using these resources for many years to come!
