National Book Lovers Day
August 9 is National Book Lovers Day. Books are magical things; they can take us to faraway places, teach us how to do new things, find fantastical adventures, answer questions, and solve mysteries, among many other qualities. Reading books is not only entertaining but it also provides many health benefits by reducing stress and improving cognitive skills. Fittingly, Clark College Libraries would like to encourage you to celebrate reading, literature, and learning.
Borrow a book or two from a library, get comfortable with your favorite beverage, and read. Buy a book, e-reader, or bookmark for yourself or as a gift for a friend. Clean and organize your bookshelf. Host a book club or book lovers party.
Books available at Clark College Libraries about books:
