Clark College Libraries Catalog and Summit Borrowing
Clark College Libraries is on track to complete the roll out of our new library system on June 23. Due to the final steps in this transition the Library Catalog and Summit borrowing will be unavailable to members of the Clark College community from June 19th to July 1st.
While the Clark College Library Catalog is on hiatus you may search for Clark items in our temporary catalog. For help with your request please contact the Check Out Desk at Cannell Library, 360.992.2151 or the iCommons at CTC, 360-992-6138.
We thank you for your patience as we take the final steps in bringing a new way to search to Clark. When you return for Summer quarter you will come back to our new catalog, Discover.
I have a book checked out that was due the 24th, but I think I can still renew it a second time, but I can’t. Do I need to turn it in or can I wait to renew it?
Hi Adam,
We have renewed your book to be due on 7/17. During closures and down times, please feel free to give us a call at #360-992-2151. We’re still around and we check voice mail M-F (well, except the 4th holiday). We hope to have the system back up soon, and please let us know about any strangeness you encounter. We’ve still got out the hammer and nails. 🙂
Thanks, I’ll check out the new site as soon as it’s up.
I am wondering if you have my course books and e cd’s to borrow. How can I find online? Is this cheap? or free?
Hi Sharon,
The library doesn’t have any e-cds, but some instructors have given us copies of the textbook to check out for free. Most textbooks check out for three hours, library-use-only, but some are given to us for overnight or longer. It depends on the instructor. You can try searching for them by title or class (like MATH 089) in our main Discover search box at http://library.clark.edu/. I can try looking too – let me know which textbooks you’re looking for. Sometimes they take a day to show up after they’ve been processed, and they might be available but we can’t yet tell.
Sincerely,

I would like to buy all used and I have my debit card. Or if possible I would like to rent or borrow. My daughter is 8 months so I am doing school online for this quarter. I need these books.
Hi Sharon,
We do have those textbooks. However, we don’t sell them. To purchase the books, you should contact the bookstore at http://clarkbookstore.com/. They will have current prices for purchase or rental.
Regarding library books, International Business, Computing Essentials, and Womens Voices Feminist Visions only check out for 3 hours, library-use-only. House on Mango Street can be checked out for 21 days and renewed twice as long as no one else requests it. You are welcome to check out these books for free for your online class, but you’ll have to come into the library (and the first three can only be used inside the building).
Good luck with your studies!
